Nikon D610 arrival is happening after a year from arriving of Nikon’s full frame D600 camera. It is a bit promote than D600, with three new features. Faster continuous shooting, a ‘quiet continuous’ mode, and an improved auto white balance system are they. The first two features are good manners of a newly designed shutter mechanism. The D600 shoot at 5.5 fps, D610 up from that at 6 fps. A new ‘quiet continuous’ mode shoots at 3 fps and, as its name implies, makes a lot less noise while doing so. Finally, the auto white balance system has been updated to produce more accurate color in artificial lighting, and more realistic skin tones.
Collecting oil on the sensor is an issue for the Nikon D600. But you know, the D600 was an excellent digital SLR, with superior photo quality, a well-built body, and remarkable movie recording capabilities. So, some internet theorists have already recommend that the D610 was created to depart the troubles of the D600 after. And the appearance of a new model launch, with almost no changes other than a new shutter mechanism, seems to give that theory some confidence. With that off the beaten track, let’s take a more indepth look at the D610, and what is changed.

The D610 is physically same as D600. Both D600 & D610, have most common with the D7100, its button design. There is a difference of the position of the magnification buttons in D610, which are shifted downwards one position, for instance. It has a lockable exposure mode dial, with lockable drive mode dial beneath it. While the inner frame of the D610 is magnesium alloy, there’s quite a bit of plastic on the outer shell. In synopsis, photographers who have been hanging on before moving to full frame, or for professionals wanting a second full-frame body, the 610 is a stronger product than its predecessor, and one that we suspect from our experience with the D600, will perform very well.
